Finally
This poem is dedicated in loving memory to my husband who suffered from Alzheimer's disease.
How
much sorrow before it is right?
Grief that can subside like sand by the seashore
When the waves calm down and snore
Stars shining brightly, sparkling tears
Decades passing through the years
Lighthouse guiding through fear
Fear of losing memories and mind
...tears and sniffles through the night
Until finally, no more sorrow or pain appear
